New season brought a move to ISC Sports and this jersey was bought off an internet auction site as a match worn in the 2006 Premier League grand final loss to Parramatta - however I was just happy to get my hands on a fan replica of the grand final jersey, which weren't being sold by the club. The actual players jerseys, well most of them, had a reinforced collar as opposed to this jersey that has a very flimsy collar that would rip in two the moment it went into a tackle. The Labelcraft sponsorship was only added onto the jersey late into the semi final campaign. Other differences from the previous year was the '@newtown' logo was smaller and SGE credit union had an upgraded logo on the sleeves. Interesting side note, there is no 'Jets' badge on this jersey, not sure why, must have been overlooked by ISC and the club, The jersey in the middle is unique. The Jim Beam Cup side was sponsored by the Royal Exchange Hotel in Marrickvile however this has a the Premier League competition badge on the front, my guess is that it was made up for the sponsors as a thank you for supporting the club. The supporters jersey on the bottom I picked up at Henson Park and I thought that I'd get Raudonikis and 7 on the back as a tribute to the Jets great halfback from the early 80's. I wear this often to games as it's a bit of a one off and something a bit different.
